Fair Enough was founded in 2021 by Heidi Florence. After beginning a career in the fashion industry Heidi moved into marketing and spent the last 12 years in fast-paced agency roles working with start-ups and corporates across a range of sectors.
Having grown up on the coast, with a strong connection to the sea, Heidi left London in 2020 relocating to her hometown Swanage, Dorset. This reawakened a passion for protecting our precious natural world and sparked the motivation for a career change.
After completing a Cambridge University Business Sustainability Management course and immersing herself in the B Corp Impact Assessment Heidi began to work with Creature & Co. the brand custodians of National Geographic Kids magazine on their journey to achieve B Corp accreditation and is a member of the Extra Brain consultancy network.
Heidi is on a mission to bring the B Corp Impact Assessment framework as a source of inspiration to as many businesses as possible and to raise awareness that positive change can be adopted by every business, no matter how small.
A big advocate of sharing knowledge and resources, Heidi is a Director of a local environmental group Planet Purbeck C.I.C assisting with social media and marketing. Heidi also volunteers with a local business group, the most recent event was aimed at helping small businesses understand a practical path to net-zero.
Fair Enough joined the Better Business Act coalition because we believe the world needs every business at its best - creating good jobs, helping to fix pressing problems and adding value to society. This aligns with our values.
Fair Enough is joining 1000+ businesses calling for a straightforward legislative solution: the Better Business Act will amend section 172 of The Companies Act to ensure that company directors are responsible for advancing the interests of shareholders alongside those of wider society and the environment.
Our company is encouraged by the fact that the Better Business Act is a business-led campaign, driven by leaders who recognise that the law has fallen behind business culture and who have proven that this approach to business works for everyone. We believe that the Better Business Act is a unique opportunity to demonstrate UK leadership on the global stage – creating a competitive advantage, driving innovation, accelerating progress to net zero, and aligning with the government’s ambition to build back better.
